Oct 16, 2022 · Also, I see no reason for "reduced ore exposure" - the rate at which I collect ores is virtually the same as in my first world (vanilla 1.6.4), perhaps a bit higher more recently but that is because of a "vein miner" enchantment which reduces the time spent on mining ores, which itself is only about 10% of the time I spend caving based on the time needed to mine them.
