This has happened to me a few times, you’re not actually buying it, you’re buying the viewing of it and Amazon don’t own the right to sell it to you…. They only have a licence agreement with the owner of the movie which can change at any time! Then it will vanish from your account.
Amazon even say you can download it after purchase and retain the ability to play it back. The license restrictions apply to transfer at the time, just like a physical copy can be taken off the shelf if someone looses licensing. It means that you have to archive everything yourself and rather negates a big advantage of having cloud storage.
