This seems about right. The Empyrean and elite aren't supposed to be amazing technical performers, they're a very lush, just sit back and relax kind of headphone. Long day of work, just got home, took shoes off, put on incredibly comfortable headphones and relax. If you like technical ability, try the 800S

Nov 8, 2023 · Notes: The Empyrean 2 is a massive improvement over the previous models, but its also far more ‘normal’ for the tuning. It’s still V-shaped with extra bass and extra treble, but it’s less of a headphone that does things to your music compared to the original - its a lot more normal in a good way, depending on your preferences for the previous ones.
