The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead. He is a personage of spirit, without a body of flesh and bones. He is often referred to as the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Lord, or the Comforter.
The Holy Ghost conveys the gifts of the Spirit to the children of God (see 1 Corinthians 12:1–11; Moroni 10:9–17; D&C 46:13–26). The Holy Ghost brings to our remembrance truths that we have been taught earlier (see John 14:26). The Holy Ghost reproves the world for sin (see John 16:8; D&C 121:43).
