May 1, 2024 · Christopher Nicholson is president of the Canada West Ski Areas Association, which represents 130 ski areas located in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Yukon. He said hills the size of Salmo’s represent the majority of ski areas in Western Canada, but not all of them are struggling in the same way, depending on location.
