Markus Alexej Persson (/ ˈ p ɪər s ən / ⓘ PEER-sən, Swedish: [ˈmǎrːkɵs ˈpæ̌ːʂɔn] ⓘ; born 1 June 1979), also known as Notch, is a Swedish video game programmer and designer. He is the creator of Minecraft, which is the best-selling video game in history. He founded the video game development company Mojang Studios in 2009.

No one has removed Notch from the credits, that's one of the biggest reasons why the comment above me is wrong. There's a difference between acknowledgment and vanglorizing. Notch doesn't deserve glory. The point of bringing up Jeb is killing the old myth of "Notch is Minecraft" that people use to justify why we should all just worship the man.
