Sep 21, 2020 · 2017 General engine failure. We have a 2017 General with approximately 5500 miles. We keep the oil changed regularly, clean air filter and don’t ride it hard at all, mostly just cruising fields and a run to the grocery in town a couple times a week. We park it inside on concrete and have no indications of any fluid leaks.

Mar 12, 2021 · This motor is rock solid! Its power delivery is very smooth with little to no vibration and the mid range torque is crazy good. I don't think it's a ton faster off the line than my old 600 Liberty but from 20 mph and up it would leave the old liberty in the dust. Zero issues so far and it gets about 4 mpg better than my old liberty. Reply Like. J.

From interior comfort to capability and speed, the General ticks an awful lot of boxes, and it’s still a relative bargain. But nothing is perfect, and the General is no exception.
