Slow news day I guess for PCGamer. And as others pointed out, no. Resistance 3 is not playable yet. I know it’s not there yet, but I’m waiting anxiously for SSX to be fully playable. There hasn’t been as good a snowboarding game since, and it also has a killer soundtrack. Just play ssx trickey on ps2 emulator.
The darkness bug is only present in SSX and SSX Tricky. SSX 3 rewrote the entire rendering codebase (including on PS2, the VU1-side code that handles patch/model/primitive rendering) and doesn't do as many weird tricks as the original rendering codebase seems to do, meaning the bug doesn't exist
