Feb 25, 2022 · The Old Durham Road Black Pioneer Cemetery at the corner of Grey Road 14 and Durham Road B is now home to a monument displaying four headstones salvaged from a pile of rocks in 1990. The headstones are the remaining remnants of the mid-1800s Black settler community that according to census data once made up 12 per cent of the total Artemesia Township population.
