Rather than putting your ingredients straight in the brewing stand with a water bottle, which could result in useless mundane or thick potions, you need to ensure you have brewed an awkward potion first, then add your ingredients to that.
- Mundane potion. Ingredients: Blaze powder, ghast tear, Redstone dust, rabbit’s foot, glistering melon slice, sugar, spider eye, or magma cream, and a water bottle.
