   Generally speaking it's rare for them to actually stop working but my dad's did stop tapping eventually. It was supposed to "expire" in I think 2014 or something like that, but it lasted until about a month ago. If it stops working you can contact Presto and they'll transfer your funds to a new card.

   How long does it take to update a Presto card?

   • Tap your card to a PRESTO device within 30 days to update your card's registration. It's a a security feature should you lose your card between loading it and tapping it.
