   PRESTO recommends updating your account information with your new credit card information once you have received it, and prior to the expiry date of the card used previously, especially if you use features such as Autoload or Autorenew. Doesn't really say if your're required to do this or not, only that they recommend that you do.

   Generally speaking it's rare for them to actually stop working but my dad's did stop tapping eventually. It was supposed to "expire" in I think 2014 or something like that, but it lasted until about a month ago. If it stops working you can contact Presto and they'll transfer your funds to a new card.

   You had to tap your card on a card reader within 30 days to complete the online registration, maybe try doing the registration again so it will be ready for tomorrow. Or you can buy a day pass online to use for tomorrow

   Does Presto have any incentive to capture new expiry dates?

   • Presto has no incentive to implement technology to capture new expiry dates. Presto is run by Metrolinx as a quasi-public service, not a for-profit company. Moneris isn't free and there is a cost involved to having the new expiry dates captured. There is no ROI for them to make it convenient for you.
