Anyways the cullens chose to act defensively only, but if the imprinting storyline wasn't shoved down our throats, the cullens would have eventually chose to fight offensively and end up killing the wolves in order to protect Bella and the baby, leaving the entire tribe on the reservation defenseless against other vampires in the future.
