State Highway 40A is an 0.35-mile (0.56 km) [4] highway in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. It is numbered after State Highway 40, the predecessor to US-177. It is the shortest state highway in Oklahoma. The highway connects US-177 to the town of Carney, Oklahoma. It has a 25 mph (40 km/h) speed limit.
Highway Review: U.S. 177 runs almost its entire length in the state of Oklahoma. It begins at U.S. 70/OK 199 in Madill, and ends about four miles north of the state line in South Haven, Kansas. Its first 15 miles are duplexed with OK 199 (former U.S. 70). In Dickson, U.S. 177 heads north on its own.

State Highway 51, abbreviated to SH-51 or OK-51, is a major state highway in Oklahoma, United States. It runs for 332.8 miles (535.6 km) east–west across the state, running from the Texas state line to Arkansas .
SH-41, which was an east-west route across west-central Oklahoma that began at the intersection of S.W. 29th and May Avenue in Oklahoma City and veered southwest to Mustang, Union City and Minco before continuing west through Binger, Eakly, Cordell and Sayre and then crossing the Texas border near Sweetwater, was redesignated as SH-152 over its entire length in 1955.
When its paving was completed in November 1930, U.S. 77 became the state's first border-to-border, hard-surfaced highway. After World War II the Oklahoma public began buying automobiles and traveling in record numbers. Unfortunately, even by 1955, only 20 percent of the state's highways had paved surfaces.
