How do I get Boston University need-based aid? To be considered for BU need-based financial aid, you must file both the CSS Profile™ and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), unless you’ve received a BU scholarship in the past.
If you have not received BU need-based aid in previous years and are applying as a new applicant, you will need to complete the FAFSA, CSS Profile, and complete an Appeal for Financial Assistance Reconsideration.
