   Do I need a yearbook?

   • So no, you don't need your yearbooks. But if you ever read through someone else's yearbook from 80-100 years ago, you'd probably appreciate it a little more. Mine went into the trash recently. After years of never ever opening it I promised myself that if I didn't open it at least once a year it would be headed into the garbage pail .

   Where can I donate a yearbook?

   • You have a couple of options: Donate them to your high school's library or your town's local library. Give them to a local historical/genealogical society.    Is there a history in a yearbook?

   • There is a LOT of valuable history in yearbooks. I threw mine out over a decade ago. I’ve never missed them. Yearbooks class rings and sports equipment are long time rackets that savvy teenagers and parents should avoid. I showed mine to my teens last month and they were unimpressed.
