Feb 5, 2024 · Google Books has a wide variety of yearbooks available. Many are from an association and are not related to schools. Worth a search. Unfortunately. most are not viewable. Hathitrust has a couple of hundred full-view school yearbooks. Usually, there are only a couple of years available and many are in the early 1900’s.

Sep 30, 2023 · If online archives don’t yield any results or if you prefer a more hands-on approach, local libraries and historical societies can be excellent resources for tracking down lost yearbooks. Many libraries keep physical copies of yearbooks in their collections or have partnerships with schools to preserve these valuable artifacts.
MyHeritage has a over 250,000 high school and college yearbooks. You can easily search to see if one you are interested in is there. E-yearbook.com looks promising – It is a subscription site, but only $19.95/year or $4.95/month. It is a family owned and operated company, and not yet another Ancestry offspring.
Findmypast has substantial collections of school-related records from the British Isles, Australia, New Zealand and Canada (mostly Ontario). Click on Search > Education & Work, then Schools & Education. Look for the “Browse Record Set” link next to the Record Set field.

In this article, we’ll teach you how to find a yearbook online and how to contact your school for a physical copy. We’ve included tons of free options so you won’t have to pay to view your favorite memories!
Find a yearbook online through sites like
To search for a specific yearbook online, type the name of your school or university, the date, location, and/or the name of a classmate into the search engine.
Contact your school’s media center or library to see if they have additional copies of the yearbook you’re looking for.

To search the digital archives on the tool, make an account on your preferred site by providing your name and email address. If there is a subscription fee to use the tool, enter your payment information to finish setting up your account.

If you’re looking for a specific classmate, search their full name, as it appears in the yearbook, using the search tool. You can also look at images, dates, and class lists in the yearbook by downloading a digitized copy of it through your preferred search tool.

Reach out to the school’s media center.
The media center at the high school is usually in charge of keeping copies of previous yearbooks. Look for a contact number for the media center at the school online, or call the front desk at the school and ask to be connected to the media center department.
The media center is often run by students under the supervision of a teacher, so you might have to speak to the supervising teacher to ask for the yearbooks you are looking for.

Check out the Yearbooks tab for the link lists by state and province. There are over 14,500 High School and College Yearbooks listed. Even a few middle and elementary schools!
