PRE-PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Students entering from the Freshman program must have included CHEM 110 and CHEM 120, BIOL 112, MATH 133, MATH 140 / MATH 141 or MATH 150 / MATH 151, PHYS 101 / PHYS 102 or PHYS 131 / PHYS 142, or their equivalents in their Freshman year.
The courses required for the General BSc Degree, Majoring in Chemistry are: Chemistry 1050 and 1051 (or 1200 and 1001), 2100, 2210, 2301, 2302, 2400, 2401, 3110, 3210, 3211, 3303, and 3411. Biochemistry 2201 and 2901. Physics 1050 (or 1020) and 1051 (or 1021). Mathematics 1000, 1001, 2000 and 2050.
Major in Chemistry. Note: The UBC Okanagan campus also offers a Major in Environmental Chemistry. Students entering the Major in Chemistry program must complete Chemistry 11 (or equivalent) and Principles of Mathematics 12 or Pre-Calculus 12. Students are strongly advised to complete Chemistry 12.
