After winning his second MVP, Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes comes in at No. 1 on our list and takes the torch from the now-retired Tom Brady. In case there are any doubters (there aren't), the rest of the NFL is looking up at Mahomes, wondering how they can compete with the Kansas City Chiefs‘ passing game. Joe Burrow comes in...
The first question mark of the rankings comes in the form of the Miami Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa. PFF analysts pegged him at No. 11, but his strong grades and impressive mark in EPA per play give him a boost. We saw a marked improvement in decision-making and ability to find the open receiver in space, but there are limitations to his g...
Andy Daltongraded well but didn’t convince voters of high-level play, which shows in his ranking in PFF WAR and EPA per pass. Daniel Jones finished the season strong as the second-highest-graded QB over the final six weeks of the regular season and played well in the wild-card playoff win vs. Minnesota, earning an 80.9 PFF grade in the contest. Bro...
Sam Darnoldran an offense that ranked top-10 in EPA per pass down the stretch, recording a high big-time throw rate (6.0%) while fumbling six times in six games. Derek Carrstruggled to close out games and found himself benched to end the season. He has now been released, so the Raiders aren’t on the hook for his hefty contract. Kyler Murray and Mat...
Russell Wilsonand the Denver Broncos were expected to contend with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he struggled all season, posting the lowest big-time throw rate of his career. Marcus Mariota’s signing was a head-scratcher, and he struggled to take advantage of two talented receiving options and a strong rushing attack. He recorded almost twice as man...
Deshaun Watsonplayed his first football game in 700 days, and it looked like it. He showed flashes of his former self but put up the least EPA per pass of any QB this year. Carson Wentzwas injured once again and struggled to lead an efficient offense and win games. He finished with 13 big-time throws and 14 turnover-worthy plays. It might not be fa...

- Josh Allen, Bills. Allen didn't have the most efficient passing numbers by most metrics last season, but the jaw-dropping eye test says he has become the position's most dominant all-around force with his big arm and powerful athleticism.
- Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs. Going into his Age 27 season, Mahomes' production and performance floor remains a dream ceiling for most of his contemporaries.
- Aaron Rodgers, Packers. Rodgers, who turns 39 in December, is a model of super-efficiency after winning NFL MVP back-to-back for the first time in his career.
- Tom Brady, Buccaneers. Brady has lived up to his promise to play through 45 after his brief retirement, realizing he has at least one more special season left in Tampa Bay with which to chase a final Super Bowl ring.
Aug 22, 2022 · Stat to know: Over the past two seasons, Burrow leads the NFL in completion percentage over expectation (plus-5.0%), a decent proxy for accuracy.-- Walder. Riser to watch: He has four NFL seasons ...

- Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City Chiefs QB. In four years as a starter, he's averaged almost 38 touchdowns per season. The production is automatic. There's an inherent streakiness with someone so inclined to off-script play-making, but paired with Andy Reid in Kansas City, Mahomes remains the standard-bearer when it comes to contemporary, anything-goes quarterbacking.
- Tom Brady. Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB. A banged-up offensive line may test his ageless mechanics, but Brady is still a machine at 45. His arm has seemingly only gotten stronger since coming over from the Patriots , and no one has a bigger team-wide influence thanks to his reputation, preparation and vision.
- Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay Packers QB. Like Brady, he's only elevated his MVP qualities with age. Losing Davante Adams will require him to spread the ball around, but he's still got one of the most effortlessly accurate arms in football.
- Josh Allen. Buffalo Bills QB. Everybody's favorite MVP pick, Allen is still prone to forcing throws or absorbing unnecessary hits as the biggest, toughest athletic package at the position, but he makes up for it with his cannon of an arm -- so strong that it can save the Bills ' entire week with a single deep ball.
Jul 21, 2022 · Brady was tied with Russell Wilson and the Seahawks for third last year, but is now tied with the next team in second place. 2. Green Bay Packers. For the second consecutive year, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ quarterback room ranks second behind only Kansas City.
