Jul 5, 2006 · If you have installed the ring & pinion and carrier yourself and used a "crush sleeve eliminator kit" instead of a crush sleeve (thanks @ILuvJDM) all you need to do is install the new seal and torque the pinion nut to 130 ft/lbs. The crush sleeve eliminator keeps the pinion preload always the same after removing and reinstalling the pinion yoke.
