A disk image contains only the part of a real disk the Atari Computer can see or use, its fully processed data. An ATR disk image contains 16 bytes of data that identify it as an Atari disk image, and the remainder is every byte of useable data off the original diskette, stored in the original order it was stored on the disk.
Jul 24, 2015 · I dream of the day when CHIP/[super]Archiver/Happy has been reverse engineered and it can be directly emulated by RespeQT/AspeQT etc with VAPI compatible with the Happy/Archiver software on a real Atari. Or maybe a PC utility that reads the ATX and writes to a real Happy via 10502PC. Yes pipe dream i know haha.
Dec 5, 2018 · To use a HD disk in your ST simply turn the disk over, label side down, and place some tape over the hole. TADA! Instant DD disk. Place the disk in your ST to format it or use the Command Prompt formatting syntax on a Windows PC. Don't remove the tape unless you need a HD disk again. Doing so will keep the disk from working in your ST.
