A disk image contains only the part of a real disk the Atari Computer can see or use, its fully processed data. An ATR disk image contains 16 bytes of data that identify it as an Atari disk image, and the remainder is every byte of useable data off the original diskette, stored in the original order it was stored on the disk.
Dec 29, 2008 · But, why not do it like this: 1) format a disk in DOS 2.x or MyDOS format 90k - up to 16 Megabytes. 2) load MyPicoDOS.COM from DOS !! (the same DOS you used to format the disk) 3) when loaded, type in "1" to write Mypicodos (the Picodos.SYS file) to disk, then type 1-9 to write it to drive 1-9.

Then you can use archiver to copy from an ATX virtual CHIP drive in D1 to a REAL CHIP drive in D2! It has been suggested already, but Phaeron is not very fond of the idea. Dec 5, 2018 · The one with the hole is an HD disk, the one without is a DD disk. To use a HD disk in your ST simply turn the disk over, label side down, and place some tape over the hole. TADA! Instant DD disk. Place the disk in your ST to format it or use the Command Prompt formatting syntax on a Windows PC.
