Sep 27, 2022 · AuroraMAX is a Canadian aurora observatory. By means of a ground camera in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, you can see the aurora from the comfort of your home. The camera turns on automatically as soon as the Sun sets in Yellowknife during the aurora season, between August and May. Watch the northern lights on AuroraMAX.com.
The AuroraMAX project provides a real-time live feed of the aurora from the Canadian North. Images are updated approximately every 6 seconds during night hours. Please note that the camera does not operate during the summer months (May to August) since the nights are too bright to see auroras during this period.
