The gamma container is a secure container your character carries with him at any time. It is 3x3 slots and all the stuff inside, can’t be looted by other players and it can’t get lost. If you die, you keep the stuff inside the gamma. There are different containers. Standard Edition gets Alpha 2x2 . The middle two editions get Beta 2x3 .
