   Why does Ottawa keep roads clear of snow?

   • The City aims to keep streets clear of snow for everybody's safety. Roads are classified based on their importance to Ottawa's transportation network. When a snowstorm begins, City crews clear snow on high priority roads, main arterials and collectors. The City’s snow disposal facilities no longer accept non-city snow from private operators.
