If you had paid the $500 non-refundable tuition deposit and decide to officially withdraw within 10 business days from the start date of your program, you are allowed to transfer that $500.00 non-refundable tuition deposit to secure your seat in a program at Algonquin College in a future term within that same Academic Year.
If you want to transfer your tuition again, you must submit a new application and pay an additional non-refundable tuition deposit. *To align with the financial requirements of studying as an international student in Canada, the international tuition deposit fee will increase from $1,750 to $3,500 for certificate, diploma, applied degree and bachelor’s degree programs on Oct. 2, 2024.
The Tuition Deposit is required for each new program in an Academic Year. If a student were to pay a Tuition Deposit for one program in the Fall term and then change programs for the Winter term, they are required to pay another $500.00 Tuition Deposit for the new program beginning in the Winter term.
An admission deposit for a new program must be paid even if a tuition deposit has already been paid for another program that academic year. However, if an admission deposit has been paid for a program, then a tuition deposit will not be required for the same program until the following academic year.
Pay Tuition Deposit. A mandatory, non-refundable tuition deposit is required each semester and will be applied toward tuition fees. Make sure to check your account balance as the tuition deposit cannot be applied until any outstanding amount has been paid in full.
