Firstly, the missing Diamond Ore generation bug was Bedrock Edition specific, and has been fixed in Bedrock version 1.17.2 iirc. Thus, it will apply to newly made chunks in existing worlds and newly made worlds. The Java Edition diamond ore bug was actually that it had one extra layer it could be spawned at.
