I have been a VM broadband customer for a long time since the NTL days (and then which merged into VM). Haven't taken notice of the area reference until now. Not sure if it changed throughout the years. My area reference is 31 according to my bills and MyVirginMedia online account. All the previous bills mention that area reference.
