    1. Conduct research on your client

    To keep the client's attention throughout the entire proposal, you should cater directly to them. Conduct extensive research on your client's business, market and competition. Use this research to uncover any challenges they could face in their industry. This should help you determine and explain how your marketing efforts can overcome them. Your proposal should center on your client and your plan to improve their company's performance, revenue, conversion rate and brand awareness using your marketing strategies.

    2. Start with the problem statement

    Once you have a better idea of your client's needs and preferences, build a problem statement that accurately communicates the challenges clients are experiencing in their industry. Clearly outline this problem by describing its nature and impact on their business.

    3. Propose a solution and lay out your strategy

    Detail a list of ways you plan to solve their problem. Each item should connect with a benefit the client will receive when they choose your business to help overcome these industry and organizational problems. This section should recommend a set of services you'll provide to help the client accomplish their desired outcome and goals.

    Focus solely on your client's needs

    Though a portion of your proposal should focus on the results and achievements you've brought in for past clients, its main content should focus more on the current client, rather than you and your company. They typically want to know how well you're focusing on the challenges in their industry and ways to overcome them. Conduct extensive research and constantly shift the conversation to them and their current marketing goals.

    Stick to a consistent structure

    It may help to create a template with various sections already laid out for you to easily input your information. This helps you speed up the marketing proposal creation process and keeps your document well-organized and easy to review. Proposals with organized structures and sequences can make it easier for clients to follow and increases the likelihood that they won't lose focus and interest.

    Carefully proofread and review the proposal

    Review your proposal again to make sure it includes all of the sections needed to properly frame your client's problem and your proposed solution. Determine if there are any sections that may seem unnecessary and could be left out. Review it for any spelling or grammatical errors to ensure it looks professional and organized enough to impress your clients.
