Jan 5, 2022 · Any fault in this sensor can cause all sorts of performance issues in your CR-V. Downstream O2 sensors do not affect engine performance. The downstream O2 sensor in CR-V is located further down the exhaust system, after the catalytic converter, and is responsible for measuring the level of pollutants passing through the catalytic converter.
May 31, 2019 · Upstream O2 Sensor Failure. Your Honda CR-V’s upstream O2 sensor(s), also known as the pre-catalytic converter sensor, measures the air-to-fuel ratio in your engine. This sensor helps your vehicle’s computer make adjustments to the fuel mixture for optimal performance. When the upstream O2 sensor fails, it can cause the following symptoms:
Sep 19, 2023 · ECU reads information provided by the O2 sensor. It can determine if the sensor is not functioning as expected. You can also see the graph of the response of the O2 sensor which tells you if it is working. Hitting the gas pedal will or should make the O2 sensor respond. Modern O2 sensors have heater circuits which the ECU also monitors.
If the sensor detects too much fuel or gases, the ECU reduces the flow of fuel into the engine, and if the sensor detects too little fuel, the ECU increases the amount of fuel entering the engine. The Oxygen Sensor and Your Car's Emissions Test An emissions test, also known as a smog check, checks the pollutants emitted by a2017 Honda CR-V s engine.
Feb 15, 2023 · The sensor number tells us where on the exhaust system the O2 sensor or the exhaust temperature sensor is installed. The 1st sensor is located closest to the engine, and the last is located toward the rear of the exhaust system. Generally, if we are talking about O2 sensors: Sensor 1 = Before Catalytic converter Front (Upstream O2 sensor)
Mar 21, 2024 · One of the most common bad oxygen sensor symptoms is a check engine light on your dashboard. In many cases, there can be a trouble code related to the oxygen sensor, and you don’t notice any other bad o2 sensor symptoms at all. All of the trouble codes P0030, P0031, P0130, P0131, P0132, P0133 and P0134 have to do with the oxygen sensors.

May 4, 2020 · I'm also currently doing my research for a 2013 Honda CR-V LX AWD downstream bank 1, sensor 2 replacement (code P0141). I have yet to see a 100% accurate picture of where the sensor is located. I think the general consensus is that Denso products seem to be the way to go (haven't seen an actual product number that isn't sensor 1) and that you can get the socket needed cheap at Harbor Freight.
