Building is a tool and a necessary part of the game, it’s counterpart, the Dig tool, is the same, expect its purpose is the opposite, despite the hatred for both of these tools, it still is a big and necessary part of the game as many wonderful creations can come to mind.

Hate
Building has a notoriously mixed reputation, it is desired in many ways however also hated, as some players use it to grief other builds or completely trap players including those who use playables that cannot dig nor build, sometimes not even attack, leaving them trapped, sometimes in a spherical-shaped ball which leaves a trace or lure them into a burrow, tunnel, or hole and trap them there when they enter the cave, this does not leave a trace most of the time as only bystanders can give information, this severely depends how the victim is trapped into the burrow, tunnel or hole, messily being trapped (lots of dirt or sand) gives clear evidence however most of the time the player is not there, as they either reset, dug out their way out of the burrow, tunnel, or hole, or left the game, if the player who trapped the other used sand, the trace can easily be found unless it was the in the Desert Biome, which is extremely far away from the spawnpoint, and rarely if ever visited at all.
Desire
Many talented builders or average players use the Build tool to build, well, builds! many create high towers which can include bedrooms, watching rooms, talent shows, bathrooms, kitchens, and many more, others create houses of their own, sometimes the house can be entirely empty, other times it can include rooms, which aren’t often separated by walls, walls are extremely thick, so thick to the point an Aphid can even fit in and suffocate, this forced the house to be enlarged as rooms also have to be made larger, as a single bed can easily suffocate a Housefly depending how thick it is, however suffocating is not a possible way of death, as the game is reserved more for roleplay, the Build tool can also be used to make entire cities, towns, villages or even large statues, while seeing talented builders isn’t so common, you might see floating dirt (grief, or debris) which could be the remains of a tower and sometimes dirt can also be the remains of builds made by talented builders who took their time to build something out of their imagination, either for fun, for roleplays or for a project.
What’s griefing?
Griefing is the act of destroying one’s work, or something, this is extremely hated, however it can be used as a defence mechanism, or as a message of “don’t build near my build” (which can signal to “don’t build near my territory”), one might grief another build near theirs so they can receive more space or they simply don’t want the build near theirs.
What is someone who griefs builds called?
a player who griefs ones work, is called a griefer, they usually grief for fun or to see reactions out of others, they also grief the spawnpoint in some cases, and in rare cases, even trap other players including builders, whom talented or not, their reputation is notorious, and they’re hated in many games, some games such as Be An Alien: Renewal have made measures to prevent griefing, including letting others secure their own works, however if players in Be An Alien: Renewal (commonly abbreviated as BAAR or called be an alien renewal, fully lowercase) leave, other players can claim their builds, and webs from Spiddles count as “builds”, players take this as an advantage, by placing webs at the beach, located in the Orange Forest, where players usually gather, and stay in the server for hours, even after leaving, fully removing the webs is hard as they will usually have placed so many, griefers also may place large neon builds coloured with bright colours.
How do i identify a griefer?
Griefers are always (sometimes non)arthropods that can dig or build, usually they either can fly, have fast speed on land or both, they use flight and speed as an advantage to avoid attacks from their victims, however a fatal bite of a Female Black Widow Spider can easily kill other arthropods, as they have a damage of 80 ~ 90 and higher,
•In many cases, griefers get falsely reported for their notoriously bad reputation, as some report a griefer as soon as they start destroying their build.
•The spawnpoint was so griefed back then, players usually either had to climb up the dirt, sand or wood planks available, build or dig to climb, or simply fly out, sometimes the spawnpoint was extremely griefed to the point players spawned on the lowest point of the map, excluding the void.
