Launching back in 2017, first in the greater San Francisco area, it streamed 35 local channels for free on its app. With the service, you can watch local channels for free for the channels it has contracts with. Now though the service has been down for over 48 hours.

It's small, as it only covers 1 small/medium size metro area, and a few surrounding areas. But it offers a 45 channel streaming package, including all local channels and subchannels, and 100 hour cloud DVR, for $26.98/mo (was $21.99/mo until 1/1/22). All cable companies should offer something similar for a similar price, but sadly, they don't!
LocalBTV is a Local TV Streaming service/app that works directly with station owners and networks to get permission to stream their channels. LocalBTV had to pause our service temporarily in November so is currently not operating. We apologize to all viewers and channel/station owners for this annoying situation which we expect to resolve soon.
