ADMIN MOD. Unpopular opinion: birch is actually good. First of all, I'd like to start this out by saying it's very difficult to mix with other woods other than oak, maybe cherry. But on its own it's rather decent. It goes well with cobblestone, it had decent coloration, and the tree looks nice, itsan intersting pattern not seen on any other trees.
The spruce wood gives kind of a whole dark feel to the place, and if you mix that with oak planks it looks very good in my opinion. I like the birch planks very much as they are so different compared to all the other wood types, and if you mix it with spruce wood it looks really awesome.

The flowing lava, best if you throw it in there. Advice from someone who doesn't like birch. :) Sandstone, yellow concrete, terracotta. dark oak. Sandstone and sand. Probably some stripped birch logs. White blocks too, quartz, white terracotta, light grey concrete and white concrete. Maybe smooth stone in small amounts.
