Annual Report 2021: Stories of Impact. In 2021, Bloomberg Philanthropies worked in 941 cities and 173 countries to ensure better, longer lives for the greatest number of people. Engaging strong partners is essential to making progress across every focus area, on some of the world’s greatest challenges.
May 4, 2022 · In 2021, we expanded the initiative to nine more cities and two more states. Our education partnerships also helped us directly combat the pandemic. We worked with America’s four historically Black medical schools to create or expand their and provide more equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines.
ENSURING SAFER, LONGER, HEALTHIER LIVES. The Public Health program combats noncommunicable diseases and injuries by spreading solutions at national and local levels that are proven to save lives. Through a global program, Bloomberg Philanthropies works to prevent deaths from avoidable causes by: Reducing tobacco and flavored e-cigarettes use.
