Before installing The Calamity Mod, or indeed any mod that changes how the game works on a base level, be sure to create copies of your existing worlds. Navigate to the Terraria folder within, and there should be a Players folder containing save data. Back this up to save yourself a headachelater on.
The Calamity Mod is an impressive mod that fundamentally changes how Terrariais played. In the vanilla game, bosses are faced sporadically and things are more peaceful than they are not. As the name might suggest, The Calamity Mod not only doubles the content in the game, but it makes already-existing content more difficult. RELATED: Terraria Mods ...
Mods that extend the life of games older than a decade tend to add expansion-like content at the end of normal progression or offer an experience completely separate from the base game. Overhaul felt really clunky the last time I played it, Calamity was downright trash despite all the content it added, so I'd suggest you play Thorium/Spirit instead Both mods might be already fixed since I last tried them (it was more than a year ago, I think), so take my advice with a grain of salt
Basically doubles the size of the game. It add post ML bosses (which is a significant portion of the mod), lore, new items, and entirely new class with new game mechanics, 2 new difficulties that can be stacked on top of the regular ones (designed to be played in revengence), new AI for all of the vanilla boss with the new difficulties, and a lot more.
