Feb 17, 2010 · But what is Christ’s “glorious body” like? We are given a picture on the Mount of Transfiguration: “There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:2).
We will have a body like His glorious body, and His body has substance. Yet, even though it was substantial, the wall presented absolutely no problem: He apparently went right through it. He did not have to open the door to enter the room.
According to Philippians 3:21, God “will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body.” So the best picture of what we’ll be like in heaven is the resurrection body of Jesus Christ. We will have a body fit for the full life of God to indwell and express itself forever.
