As it stands, we're treated to 82 minutes of confused storytelling that spends the entire first half torturing our two principal leads in the most bizarre ways imaginable. Perhaps Corman fans should skip the first half of the film and simply watch the actual "Deathsport" sequences instead.

With a film produced by Roger Corman you pretty much know what you are going to get, sometimes it works and sometimes it is just a miss. This film falls more on the miss side. Genre fans may still enjoy this and Corman completists will still like to get this.
But the tyrannical dictator of the largest city sees them as a threat to his ultimate rule and has as many of them arrested as possible. He then forces them to fight to the death in a game called Deathsport featuring laser-firing motorcycles.

Allan Arkush and Nicholas Niciphor both had a go at shooting it but it’s simply far too derivative and lacks even a mild focus.
