Let’s find out how to incorporate that aesthetic into your other brand logos. Why Is Creating a Custom Gaming Logo for Your Brand So Important?
A well designed game logo can convey the mood of the game and make it stand out in a crowd. In this post I will share my logo design process, as well as link to some great resources for learning about graphics design.
- Sony PlayStation. You knew it was coming. This logo by Sony is one of the best video game logos in existence. Look at the dominant ‘P’ with the subtle ‘S’ right under it.
- Sega. Look at that! For decades, this iconic logo from Sega has been, quite literally, at the forefront of gaming. Sega has been around since the 1940s. Since then, its logo has stayed relatively the same, barring a few minor tweaks.
- EA – Electronic Arts. Okay, so EA hasn’t exactly been in the good graces of gamers lately, but it doesn’t mean its logo is totally killer. This logo, a simple ‘EA’ with some embellishments, communicates that yes, this is, in fact, an Electronic Arts game.
- Rockstar. I love this one. Rockstar, the developers of games like Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto not only know how to make a great action game, but the company is also great at making a killer logo.
- The PlayStation Shapes. Sony sparked a gaming transformation with PlayStation's launch and dynamic abstract logo. Its meaning evolved to represent immersive new experiences, only cutting-edge consoles provided in 1995 – making it an enduring emblem of progress.
- The Nintendo Seal. Brought to life in 1989, the prestigious Nintendo Seal of Quality logo certifies games extensively playtested for reliable family fun.
- The Pokémon Logo. With its playful, bubbly font framed by an iconic Pokéball design, the Pokémon logo taps directly into a youthful adventure. One glance at this colourful emblem filled 90s kids’ heads with dreams of trainer glory!
- The Super Mario Logo. The quintessential platformer series, Super Mario features one of gaming’s most ubiquitous icons. Mario’s red cap, overalls, impressive moustache, cheerful face, and hand gestures leap to mind.
