Apr 26, 2013 · Transmission I use a 85-140 fully synth Gear oil. Smooth as silk gear changes and protects the gears very well. Other holes I use a 20W-60 fully synth. Primary oil is only there to lube the chain drive, cool the clutch and wash any wear particles to the bottom of the case to get them out of the way until the next change.
Jun 5, 2005 · 4. 75W90 viscosity Series; 12.8 to 14.5 cSt (Amsoil's MTG, Redline's MT-90). A differential lube may not kill your manual transmission in your light truck or car, but it is not the optimum lube for it. A differential 75W90 (GL5) lubricant usually has a higher viscosity than does an mtl in the same advertised weight.
Aug 20, 2019 · AMSOIL Synthetic V-Twin Transmission Fluid has a higher viscosity than 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil. A higher-viscosity, or “thicker,” lubricant can help quiet noisy transmission gears and enable smooth shifts. The lubricant develops a slightly thicker fluid film on gears, which provides cushion to help diminish loud “thunks ...
Aug 18, 2014 · No. Without someone testing this oil for wear properties, it just means that it is 'noisier' than some other oils. Red Line transmission oil is fully synthetic, Belray is not synthetic. The primary advantage of synthetic engine oils is that they tolerate higher temperatures than conventional oils without breaking down.
Mar 15, 2022 · Synthetic V-Twin Transmission Fluid has a higher viscosity than 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil. A higher-viscosity, or “thicker,” lubricant provides some advantage in helping quiet noisy transmission gears and enabling smooth shifts. The lubricant develops a slightly thicker fluid film on gears, which provides extra cushion to help ...
Apr 9, 2023 · Transmission fluid is an essential component of your motorcycle’s transmission system. It lubricates and cools the moving parts, preventing friction and damage. Regularly changing your transmission fluid can significantly extend the life of your transmission. Most manufacturers recommend changing the fluid every 20,000 to 30,000 miles ...

Dec 6, 2023 · Motorcycle transmissions are responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels, allowing for varying speeds and torque delivery. The primary components include the gearbox, clutch, and final drive. The gearbox consists of gears, each with a specific ratio, enabling the rider to select the ideal gear for the speed and conditions.
