Dec 5, 2021 · Bring back the old render distance from 1.17 and take away the fog. Ever since 1.18 released I feel that the new way render distance renders hasn’t been great as well as this new fog. When I fly with an elytra it’s very hard to avoid not hitting terrain because of the fog and new render distance.

biomes in 1.18 are 3d now, so snow on the ground doesn't always mean water to ice at ground level. you need an actually frozen type biome for that, or like other said, move it up into the sky
