Sep 13, 2022 · Unit 1 of a Duolingo course will have one tower in the castle, whereas Unit 10 will have — you guessed it — 10 towers! If you tap on a unit, you’ll get a little pop-up that tells you how many crowns you’ve earned. Basically, to fully complete a unit, you need to unlock every crown level.
These levels ranged from 1 to 25. The more XP you earned, the higher your level. Then came the crowns. These represented levels within a skill, with a maximum of 6 to earn. But with the new learning path, levels have once again taken on a brand new meaning. Now, a level on Duolingo is a step along the path, represented by a circle.
The best way I can explain this is, as you take the test, the test learns about your proficiency, whether you are trying to trick it or not. In essence, you CANNOT trick the test. It will extract your natural proficiency very efficiently. The only way to "trick" the test is to actually improve your English which is a win-win imo.
As far as I am aware you can buy 2 tests at the same time, each costs $39 this way. You can purchase and take 3 tests in 30 days. Be aware that If you purchase the test, you need to take it in 3 or 4 weeks as far as I remember.
