Goth and gothic are two different things. Goth is a subculture based around the goth music genre. As with fans of any genre there’s overlap. Goth fans/clubs still tend to play industrial, post-punk and EBM music, which is where it rly starts getting closer to techno, and of course there’s plenty of those musical influences in goth.
