The Legislative Assembly of Manitoba (French: Assemblée législative du Manitoba) is the deliberative assembly of the Manitoba Legislature in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Fifty-seven members are elected to this assembly at provincial general elections, all in single-member constituencies with first-past-the-post voting.
Manitoba operates through three branches of government: the executive, the legislative, and the judicial. The executive branch—the Government of Manitoba —consists of the Executive Council and the Premier, who is the head of government and the President of the Executive Council.
The Legislative Assembly is an independent entity, separate from the Government of Manitoba. The 57 Members of the Assembly are elected in single-member constituencies to represent the people of Manitoba.
