The park is across University Avenue from Peet's Coffee and Tea shop (#2), which is their second shop ever opened - since 1966. During World War I, Fremont Park was the site of a U.S. Army tent camp.
The Guild is owned and operated by the Allied Arts Guild Auxiliary, which supports critically ill children at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
