The Nairobi Railway Museum is a railway museum in Nairobi, Kenya, adjacent to Nairobi railway station. Containing exhibits from the defunct East African Railways, it was opened in 1971 by East African Railways and Harbours Corporation. It is operated by Kenya Railways. [1] The museum has maintained its rail connection.

The Railway Museum in Nairobi is a nice place to visit is is located within the city center and it is replete with so many railways used during the colonial era, independent period up to the more recent ones. A hidden gem. Jan 2024 • Couples. Sited on the busy outskirts of Nairobi, this museum is a hidden gem although in desperate need of funding. The building houses artefacts and photographs that show the history and development of Kenya and how the railways forged a path from Mombasa on the coast to Lake Victoria.
