   • The Intro of Risen tells about the Rise of the Titans after the Gods abandoned the world. Gods leaving the world is one of the possible endings of gothic 3. Also in the original (german) version the intro is narrated by the same guy who voiced Xardas in the Gothic games. I doubt they picked him for this without intention.

   • No official links. Risen is it's own universe and not conected with gothic. When Piranha Bytes made Risen, they had lost the legal rights on Gothic after seperating from JoWood. But the story/lore was written in a way that Risen could be a sequel to Gothic 3 and I think thats what it was suposed to be..just not officially.
