1) Page Margins
The general formatting rules for page margins are as follows: 1. 1.5 inch margin on the left of the page 2. 1 inch margin on the right, top and bottom of the page In a blank Microsoft Word document, simply go to Layout > Margins and scroll down until you find the Custom Marginsoption. In the window that pops up, change the left margin to 1.5 inches and leave everything else at 1 inch.
