The event was hosted by artist Charles Pachter, who has maintained a lengthy relationship with OMAH. His first exhibit there was in 2006. It was called Regarding the Lake. In 2018, he raised more than $200,000 for the museum through a charity auction.

Nov 4, 2023 · In 1994, the Sir Sam Steele Art Gallery took up residence on the building’s first floor, promoting art and culture in downtown Orillia. Five years later, the gallery would amalgamate with the Orillia Historical Society, and thus, the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) was born.
