Essential lists are reserved for mandatory content for the University community and managed lists to communicate non-essential content to the appropriate audience.

For most users, the NetID will look much like your @smu.edu email address. For some, such as Authorized Payers on your accounts, it will be their current login name plus the @smu.edu.
