  1. Dec 6, 2022 · This article ranks Escape from Tarkov's maps based on what each map has to offer players and how much potential profit can be made.

    • The Lab. The Lab is pound for pound, the toughest map in Escape From Tarkov. It's difficult to even get into, requiring a keycard that'll give a player access just once - and then they'll need to track down or purchase another keycard.
    • Lighthouse. Lighthouse is one of the newest maps in Tarkov, introduced at the end of 2021. It's a large, sprawling environment that features an industrial zone, a long beach, chalets, and dense forests, and it's very tough to both understand and conquer.
    • Reserve. Reserve is an abandoned military base, packed with extreme hardware and featuring one of the toughest bosses in the game. It's a relatively terrifying environment that also boasts highly-trained and capable enemies called Raiders - essentially advanced scavs.
    • Interchange. Interchange is a relatively threatening map, even if it's not very hard to learn how it works. It's a dark, dense environment that seems to promote player-vs-player combat, and there's a tough boss - Killa - that can spawn almost anywhere on the map, making it extremely hard to predict his movements.

    • Woods. Woods is a classic Tarkov map, and for good reason. Bosses, loot, open space, and close quarters, this map has it all. It's one of the earlier maps in the game and perhaps one of the best maps for those of any level.
    • Factory. If you want to run a shotgun or SMG, then look no further than the Factory map. It is tense, dark, and you are sure to run into some bad guys.
    • Lighthouse. Lighthouse is one of the larger and more open maps out there. There's the shore, forest area, some industrial areas, and the titular lighthouse that all make up for a good amount of areas to check out different play styles.
    • Streets. If you want to experience Tarkov with a more sniper-focused run, then Streets might be the one to go for. Open streets and alleyways are immediately at odds with the tight spaces of nearby businesses that could be hiding any sort of baddies.

    • Factory map. Map Size. Small, 4-6 Bear/USEC Players. Main Extraction Points. Gate 3. Map Description - As a small, indoors map, the Factory offers a lot of Close Quarters Combat action right from the start.
    • Interchange map. Map Size. Very Large, 11-15 Bear/USEC Players. Main Extraction Points. North-West, South-East. Map Description - Interchange hosts the main Transportation Hub of Tarkov, as it connects the Industrial outskirts with Port and the Harbour.
    • Shoreline map. Map Size. Large, 8-13 Bear/USEC Players. Main Extraction Points. Road to Customs, Map Description - Located next to The Port, Shoreline covers a large part of Tarkov's outskirts.
  3. Interchange by far has the easiest layout and the two reliable extractions are on the corners of the map so its very easy to know where you're heading after playing the map >5 times. Customs is also an important map to learn but I wouldnt say its beginner friendly.
